Yarn Along with Friends in April

" ~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs.  I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~ "  Ginny at Small Things...

It's that time again.  I'm glad for this. because at this life pace, I'd never get a post posted.  So, now, I just want to say, I'm too busy to read, but I need to slow my brain down at night, so I'm reading anyway...
I just finished a good one on my Kindle... It was Sarah's Key  by Tatiana DeRosnay.  I was never interested in reading about the Holocaust.  My friend Elaine was.  She even taught an English elective on it, then her class would travel to Washington DC to the Holocaust Museum.  But then I read Once We Were Brothers...and it was a good book, not my usual choice of happy fluff.  And when I told my mom, she had just finished Sarah's Key on her Kindle, so I got that one going.  Had to finish my Lisa Wingate that I was reading called Blue Moon Bay.  Also a good book.  Hey, for the most part, if it's not good, I don't read it.  Too many books, too little time.. So when I stopped at the Library, I recommended my book to one of the ladies waiting for Once We Were Brothers and then she and the Librarian started talking about books and the next thing I know I have 3 more books in my hand, all about Holocaust situations or people.
I've still got my Cabin book by Lou Ureneck going and it's going ok.  Slowed down a bit, but I also have my Wanda Brunstetter from Christmas that isn't finished yet, and of course, there are one or two loaded on the Kindle for dark time reading.  Two weeks and I'm kicking into a reading-all-day day.  Sounds good, right??

On the knitting front, I pulled out the green Juliet Vest on a long car ride and knit to the end of the first ball.  I've been further before I pulled the whole thing out, so I'm ready for the second ball and some progress.  Thinking that could happen in 2 weeks, too.  Who knows what happens when the CLOSED sign lights up in the tax office?!?!?

What are you reading or wrapping yarn around these days?!?!?

I agree. Sarah's Key was good.

I've been reading Amy Harmon. Light but enjoyable stuff.
