"~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~"
And the bottom is my Juliet... It is making progress, a little slow, but hey, that's life. I saw a couple of my kids friends, last week. They are sisters and were doing some shopping and they asked if I had all my crafting done for presents because they really like that stuff. I said I was taking it easy this Christmas and not doing all those last minute things that I can never get done. But then, it got me thinking and feeling just a bit guilty about NOT giving anything this Christmas that I had made...so I sewed up a pair of flannel pants for a girl we know and now...WHEW!! I feel so much better!! Seems I have sewed and knitted some stuff in the past, but this year I had some major projects going, and not enough time to just dabble... so perhaps my cowl will be a trial for next year's gift line!! or just get me out of the rut I'm in right now....
BUT...the Juliet vest has the sleeves bound off and front and back joined for 5 more inches of garter knitt before the bottom design starts. I resigned this to NOT be finished before Christmas and I'm OK with it, but I will be wearing it for next Christmas!!
As for reading, I have the Happiness Project that I need to review January's chapter and I'm into June, I think with the regular reading of it. And then I got a couple of new books: ROOM by Emma Donoghue and Beautiful Outlaw by John Eldredge... got some work to do, then it's hunkering down with the knitting and books, because there is a storm a brewing and I'm ready for it!! Just put another log on the fire and grab a blanket and you can join me!! Cozy and snug....

I knitted two cowls - one for me and one for a Christmas gift. I hope to start a baby hat for another grandson coming next spring. I love to knit!
Your blog inspires me! Happy new year, friend!
