James and John...

So there are around 4 of us who are starting to memorize James... we're starting with a chapter, but it would be AWESOME to go the whole way...I need to kick it into high gear and not get behind... Willowe is definitely in the lead... I'm to 1:12 and she's at 1:15. The original James Challenge was taken to try to do 3 verses a week and I was good for the first 9, but then I spent a week NOT riding in my car alone as much and that's when I had been doing the best work... Perhaps this week, I should just take my cards and go sit in my car periodically through the day to work on my memory verses!!
AND in Sunday School we are getting into our study of the book of JOHN and that is getting pretty good discussion going. I don't think we have made anyone mad, but it has been a little more intense than usual. So about those people at the pool where the angel stirred the water and the first one in was healed...(John 5: 1-....) Does your Bible have verse 4?? and if not, then why?? Someone read and reply to this profound question. I SO am looking for comments on this and I really don't have too many followers that comment and if you know me and don't want to comment here, then shoot me an email and give me your thoughts...'cuz was that first person really healed and the second on wasn't and was it like Kathy said...was it like WALMART the day after Thanksgiving?!?!? Looking for a little study help here, folks. I sense that hunger right now in a group of us and I hate to slow it down when we could learn so much by kicking it up a notch...

And absolutely unrelated, except that I did it today, I finished a quick read of Still Life With Chickens.. Hub is going to start worrying about chickens now, like he issued the alpaca warning. It was a cute book about re-discovering and re-defining yourself. Hers was after divorce, but I can see it appealing to those looking for a simpler life with any change of your life, or need to escape the rat race... I'm on that bus...it's got to be simpler than this!!
