goal update

As I sit here and watch it snow, yet some more, I'm waiting for the temp to start it's downward decline. The weather I was watching said it's goin' down, way down. But right now we are around 32/33 degrees here in Ripley. So, I'm taking a minute to reflect on the whole goal thing...
Experiences- Checked out some books on vegetable gardening... trying to figure out good places to tuck some veggies, without giving up my yard space... would like to add a couple of fruit trees that would produce here in cold-ville, thinking pears would be right up my alley... also going to try to find a place to plant a couple of blueberry bushes...talking to Diane about strawberries... thinking Albert liked the tomato growing idea we've done for several years and he wants to make money, that weeding would be a good summer job for him Haven't convinced the hubby that raising chickens is our our future, but I did tease my dad with the idea at the dinner table on Sunday... my mom will kill me if he brings home chicks...
READING - I am reading my first book of the year - Size 12 is NOT fat. It is pretty funny, but I'm only into it for around 60 pages so far. I have a stack on my nightstand that could probably render me unconscious if it tipped, so I am very careful when I do the alarm WHACK! in the morning. I have several others there, including HEIDI which is a very old copy I got at a library book sale, probably. I like to read old books. It helps me escape from what I'm facing right now. Grace Livingston Hill - I like her proper books...nothing I couldn't share with my daughter or your grandma. I need to pick a Jane Austen book to read, and find Bridget Jones Diary at one of my libraries, but no hurry,... you know, that whole tower of books on the nightstand thing...
ME STUFF - sorting through the stash for usable combinations of what I have and grouping some piles to have something added to for enough. I can do this. Neva awaits my weekly post, better get on it...
Places To Go - 1)Cape cod: sent the email, just waiting for reply 2)Letchworth: thinking this could go with Bert's goal list of a hiking experience 3)Hershey Park: read too much of Dirkey's blog of Love & Chocolate...wonder if Cheryl has been there...
Family - Cape Cod knocks off the places and family vaca at the same time. Family photos - been deleting junk from my Easy Share in hopes of cleaning up the mess, printing and storing better this year.
Physical - well, I have 8 miles toward my 300 mile walking goal... you can follow my progress on the meter on the left side of this blog. New Bike will wait until spring, perhaps partly a Birthday thing.
Work - getting geared up for tax season, getting my year ended
Household- replacing the bathroom fan with the mom after tax season... we're studying the details
Financial - working on that Crown Financial idea

See... and you thought I was just loafing around...

you'll love Heidi, have you ever read it before?

I love Grace Livingston Hill, I collect old hardback editions of her books..I like to read her books while I eat lunch, she talks about good food often in the books, I wonder if it was because she lived through the Great Depression?

good for you with the walking, if I lived where it snowed, I would never go outside..so I am really impressed that you go walking in it.
