Yarn Along in October

"~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading and I love sharing my projects and current reads here. I would love for you to join me every Wednesday to share a single photo of what you are knitting (or crocheting) and reading too! Share your photo on your blog, on Instagram (#yarnalong), or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us!~" Ginny at Small Things

Trying to yarn along again, but the bigger problem is the project.  I am traveling to Boston and back on a train and decided this was the perfect time to work on the green Juliete vest.  Affectionately being referred to previously as the 4, 5, or 7 year vest, it has been renamed the Vest From Hell.  It is all out of wack again with the numbers and the patterns and the dang yarn overs.  It is time to rip it back to the place where it was last correct.  That would be a year ago and all the lace bottom ago.  My friend said, DON'T do anything drastic.  I assured her it was wonky enough in the repeated design being off kilter, that I would not wear it.  I said she could rip it back for me and I'd start the design again.  So instead, on my way back home, I'm gonna drag out the soft baby blanket yarn and try a little blanket.   Just as a soft diversion to the nasty vest feeling that I'm having.  I even locked the green vest up in the suitcase, so as not to temp me into trying to fix it...for the third or fourth time....this trip.  Do you ever have those projects that just torment you??  I even went back to ravelry to see if there had been some sort of change made to the pattern that I wasn't aware of sine the original purchase.  None reported.  But lots of lovely vest came off other needles.  I will not be beat!!

This project for now... and hoping to have a picture of progress by next week.
My view today.  The autumn leaves are gorgeous today!!  I've several more hours of daylight to enjoy them, too.
I did finish a good book.  I'm pretty deep into Christian Fiction these days.  Can't seem to keep going in so many books, where the language is bad.  And I tend to be a happy ending person.  So this one fit the bill.

Link over to Ginny's page and see what the others are up to....lots of inspiration to be found there.

That soft, pastel yarn looks scrumptious. What a sweet baby blanket that's going to be.
