~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence
of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other
people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or
crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it
either on your blog or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo
with the rest of us! ~ Ginny at Small Things
This is where I'm at this week...
I have Bread Alone on my Kindle and I'm enjoying that. I also received my new Mother Earth News. Haven't cracked that one open yet, but soon, very soon...And then there is the knitting. I have nearly finished the wound ball that was given me along with the two hanks I bought. My Terribly Simple is not long enough to loop around, so I'm adding in some of the first one I balled up. It is so soft and lovely, but not quite the color, so I figured now was the time to add it in and then come back for a few rows of what's left of the original color/ball. I also finished putting thumbs in my fingerless mitts. The first time I did thumbs and I think I could do them again and maybe even better!! They are ready for me to wear. I have enough of that red yarn to make a headband, too, which is what I want to do. I'm just not a hat person. I like them, but my hair is all covered up and it's just not a good look. So headband it is... but I vowed to work on some of my already started stuff before starting more, so the Terribly Simple it is....and pulled out the Juliette vest to drag around for a while. Just some of those things I've slid to a back burner that needs to be worked on.
I've also started this Wanda Brunstetter book, too. I was a gift and it's good reading, especially when I don't want to take the Kindle. I really didn't think I'd like the ereader, but getting Library books at 10:34 pm has it's benefits. Or being on a waiting list and getting the book as soon as it's available- good stuff. I loaded Hattie Ever After on there after I finished Hattie Big Sky. I enjoyed reading the first Hattie book and it was pretty quick. I still have trouble reading more than I book at a time. And then I check out more library books, even though there are books on my nightstand. But those have no due date, so they are there much longer. But hey, as long as I'm reading....
So, what are you reading and yarning and dreaming about?? Do you have only one going, or do you read or knit or crochet several at a time?? Just wondering.... Is it cold where you are?? Cuddle up and enjoy!

Karen Sue, thanks for the link explaining my mystery needles. I love the golden brown yarn you are using. I really have to figure out how to get library books on my Kindle. It was a Christmas gift that I have yet to figure out.
I like fingerless mitts too. It's snowing here and I'm in Texas.
I just read the new book by James Carvelle and Mary Matalin. Love and War or some such thing. Enjoyed it.
=)
Loved this post. I have just learned to knit and love it! I have crocheted for the longest time, but love the way knits look.
