Closing one week and opening another....

Good day to you~~
It is the week after the end of tax season.  For Scott that has always meant golf.  This year is no exception.  For the past 2 years, it has meant a visit to North Carolina for me.  This year - not.  The calendar schedule has the kids back to school and sports this year, so I'm not going.  I'm taking my partial vacation/recovery week right here at home.  I have some plans to get things done and some plans to do nothing.  And can you believe it??  The weatherman is predicting a foot or so of snow!!  No one has their plows on anymore and this could really put a wrench in my M-T-W plans!!  I don't mind being snowed in alone, but as bad as this sounds, I was kind of looking forward to a few days by myself.  No CALL OF DUTY, no all day eating, multiple TV's of stuff I don't want to watch, no Mom, where's my ______  (fill in the blank).  I just need to veg.

SO to prepare for the next few days, I'm in my creative space...also known as the messiest room in the house.  I am doing some sorting and re-arranging and picking up.  Stuff has just been getting tossed in here for quite a while.  Why do I do that?? What happened to "a place for everything" and "Don't put it down, put it away"?  Guess they took tax season off, too!

I have a hit list if I get ambitious...
Sewing, like pillowcases, my rug from this spring's S&S, a Christmas wallhanging I started last Sept at S&S...a couple of little quilts...I'd line them up on the table and have a go at it...
But there's always -...knitting on my sweater, chick flick marathon, reading a book or two...cleaning off the extra books on the bookshelf so there is room for more.

Last night we christened our new kitchen/dining room with Table of 8 for April.

It is always a good thing to get together with friends.  This was no exception to that.  Spending time with friends is priceless.

Don't let another week go by without spending some time with yours!!
