Plumbing

I'm home in bed, recovering from some plumbing issues I had taken care of. And I'm not on too many drugs, so I figured it is a good time to work on my knitting sweater project. It is getting a bit colder and I can see me wearing it real soon. So I got it out and I started knitting and I found a hole...not the original MAKE ONE holes that I did, but another. And then I called Cultured Purl, in Erie PA and asked the nice lady
"What is the way I can increase without making a hole?" and she told me to knit in the front and the back...so I did...then I looked at the MAKE ONE holes, pulled out that big, long circular needle and unraveled about 5 inches of sweater. I had looked at it long enough. If I'm spending the time and money to make my first sweater, I want it to ROCK!! I don't want a hole here and there and especially in the front. AARGH!! I then put the stitches back on the needle, winded the yarn back around the skein, purled the row I had put on, sliding and flipping stitches as I went, hoping that it wouldn't be noticeable. I'm not usually a unravel person, I'm an unknitter. one stitch at a time...there was just too many stitches to do that way, so I pulled it out. I hope to not have enough practice to ever get good at this, but I also hope this is a step in my knitting trip that I decided it was worth the effort to rip it and re-knit. I still have some kinky yarn wound around the skein....I've not made up how far I went back yesterday, but I'm good with it. My friend is stopping by with lunch for me to day and I told her to bring her knitting, too. I have time for more re-knitting and then I can smile when i put my sweater on....after all, aren't I worth it!?!?!?

Have a great day...maybe next week I'll be back up to posting my Proverbs. Better go lay back down. It's what I do best right now...

Hope you feel better soon!

As for the plumbing issues, I'd love to hear more about your surgery. I think I may follow suit one day, and there seem to be a lot of different choices.

Hugs to you.
