It's back to work

Today I'm back to work. I've had a verrrry long weekend. Normally I work T, TH, & FRI and then we take turns for SAT a.m. With a vet out of town, they opted to close the clinic for the long weekend, so I worked last TH, and now today is the first day back. The good thing is they were open yesterday, so the absolute chaos of all the people who MUST come to the vet after than many days off was handled by someone else. I'll have an easier day.
Yesterday was a puttering day and I just couldn't settle on a task. I had several things going and not really sure I completed any of them. It was warm and windy, but I just didn't have what it takes to stay on task....a very AADD type of day. I looked around and wondered what I DID do. I puddled around with a new lining in a new bathing suit for a friend and I was pretty nervous about screwing it up and putting holes in the material and having it too loose or too tight. I'll find out tonight if it is going to work, then put the last seam in. I spent a fair amount of time trying to clean off horizontal surfaces around here. I need to get started on the other quilt top for graduation and I'm only doing applique on a few blocks, but getting that going is sometimes the trick. Dragging out the wonder-under and the random pieces and the background blocks and looking up numbers...
Guess I'd better get moving. Today will be a long day and I think I hear the washer calling me.... Have a great day!!

Oh, wait...I finished another book yesterday. It was Family Affair by Debbie Macomber and it is not quite 100 pages - a very quick read. But I'm counting it. I spent quite a bit of time looking for a library book about socks that I still haven't found....AARGH!!
