Walking with Friends....

Yesterday I took a walk with a couple of friends. When the winter is done and for me, tax season, our time is a bit freer and we like to walk and talk together. I've read where some people can walk and knit, but that might be just a little TOO much multi-tasking. I've accepted the fact that for the most part, multi tasking is not good for me. Something always suffers. But walking and talking, I can do. We had kids that needed dropped off to go see SOUL SURFER with the youth group, and since we'd be near the school, the track is a pretty dry place to walk. However, the horseriders in their family, were finishing up with lessons and had a weiner roast at Heather's, so I met them there and we walked up a big hill and around a field and then back down the hill again. We'll have another walker most times, but since she is having a Mickey Mouse vacation with the family, she wasn't around. We did not take backpacks not did we have our pink baseball bat, which is carried when we walk in bear country...which is pretty funny, because there is NO chance that I'll get close enough to whack a bear with this little pink bat before he eats me up!! But I guess we can toss it in the other direction as a diversion. I so miss walking with my friends. I walk alone quite a bit, but walking with friends makes the miles go by faster. Happier and Healthier. Life at its best.....

I used to have a friend that I walked with every night. It was so much more fun than going alone. (She moved.)

Sounds so fun! I had to giggle a little bit with the vision of you with the pink baseball bat scenario....
