Fall Into Reading 2009

Just found another neat project for the fall. It is from Callapidder Days. It is called Fall Into Reading and this is not the first time she has done it. I actually have to read back and find out a little more info, but I thought it would be a good boost for my rather slagging reading. I started out with a list for the year and have done a good amount of reading, but I'd like to target some specifics and then cross them out as I go...

OK..first confession is this is an attempt to clean off my nightstand and the pile in front of it. My mom and I are both fond of Debbie Macomber. My mom has been reading alot of her books and passing them along to me. I have also been checking out library books, buying some other books, having people loan me books that need to be read and returned, and so my Macomber pile has been getting real tall, so my first selections are
2) Someday Soon - Macomber
3) Sooner or Later - Macomber
4) Ready for Love - Macomber
5) Right Next Door - Macomber
6) 8 Sandpiper Way - Macomber
8) Love & Respect- Emerson Eggerichs -don't tell the hubby ...he keeps pushing this at me..and I act like I'm resisting. Guess I have been, because I'll need to dust it before I read it.
9) Beverly Cleary - just got to read one or two from my childhood.
10)5 People You Meet in Heaven - re-read for my new group...
11) Bonus-a Christmas book- I always read Christmas from Thanksgiving to New Year's...
PS.. I decided I needed to add something from the BIG READ list...so...
12) still thinking on that one..... I think either
a) Winnie the Pooh by AA Milne or
b) Alice's Adventures in Wonderland
This looks like a good list...
But I need to link up with Callapidder to get on the list... see you soon!!

I love Debbie Macomber too! Reading a book from your childhood is a great idea. I may have to look up one of the books by Judy Blume that I read as a girl.

Great list!

I think I'm one of the few women out there who hasn't yet read any Debbie Macomber books! One of these days... I've heard they're really good.

Thanks for being part of Fall Into Reading '09!

Katrina you're not the only one. I don't think I've ever read a Debbie Macomber either. I'll have to remedy that!

Another great read are Georgette Heyer's books. Really fun...sort of like Jane Austen light.

I just bought two copies of Love and Respect today, for my son and his fiancee. I keep hearing it's a good one. I'll be curious to hear how you like it :)

I have bought a few Debbie Macomber books, and yet to read them. I really don't like reading author's I know nothing about. Don't know why I bought the books...hmmm!?
However, I have seen her mentioned several times. She must be really good.
I do have her on my list.
Katrina, your not alone, I haven't read her either. :)
Joyful

See? THIS is exactly why I need to stop reading everyone's Fall Into Reading posts! I too have not yet read Debbie Macomber, but have always wanted to. Now what? My list is already too long...
