sun & snow

Just sittin' here watchin' the sun on the snow...thinking about my neighbor from the past, Jim Martin. Jim died last night in his new home. He was a nice guy...gentle spirit when I knew him, but I think he probably could have been a corker in his day!! He had a stroke several years back and things got harder for him. He hasn't lived next door for a while... He and Vera moved out about the same time. Cancer took Vera, Jim just waited his turn. My memories of Jim will mostly be walking. He walked a lot before the stroke, but after, when driving wasn't an option, you would see him walking to Mary's or back - perhaps several times a day...good exercise, and someone needs to check on those cats!!
