Stay at home day - sort of

This morning, after the kids got on the bus, DH says why don't you stay home and help me today. I usually tell them the day before that I'm not coming in... I have flexibility, but don't want to abuse that. I hemmed and hawed a bit, then I called the foreman, asked if he had any UPS that needed to go today... usually they handle anything else, but that. He said no, so I said I was going to work at home. We did some assembly required on a couple of 2 drawer files for the new office and a storage cabinet for some of the supplies. We had 2 screws left over, one from each file... at least we were consistent!! We ran to Erie to pick up a few things... seems we never have a garbage can when we finish a construction project... we wanted an entry rug at each door.. and I used the last of the light bulbs in all flavors... and the radio in the bedroom is going into the office, so a new clock radio for the DH in the bedroom.... and some D batteries for the stationary bike, and some AA and AAA as long as we are getting them... and the spitter in the car was empty, so a gallon of washer fluid... and Andy says we need more lifesavors.... Off to volleyball, the last home game and only Varsity... and then home for insta-meal. days at home go so fast... we didn't really move anything up, but we have the storage for what we will be carrying very soon. Hoping to get it all done this weekend. Football game is away on Friday night, so Saturday may be a day of great laboring!! Better go get some rest... or read until I fall asleep... no email from CH, so goodnight to all....

Wow- what a day!!! Question: did you feel like you accomplished a lot at the end of the day? That is always the test- the measurement tool! Love days when I get so much done, but with all the kids, those days are few! :) That's OK- they're only little once. Soon they will be big kids and won't need me so much and I will probably miss having littles! Sometimes you just need a day to get things done; I am glad you took one!
