Where in the world???

Ernie says he needs to go out....
WOW! He has to go through there....that's his place to go off the deck, and he always goes off the deck, like a good dog...
This is my view in the rear mirror as I head off to a day of work...

Nice looking trees. Hollywood could never fake snow this good...

I decided instead of sliding down the big hill, I'd take the little hill... it goes down this little road,

And around this curve... on Shadyside.... yeah, can you see why we bought a generator?? Lines down is a frequent occurance around here...

At the stop sign on the corner, I look across the road to the local bed & breakfast... How charming...if you like snow...
I'll get the mail on the way home...if I can still find the post office...

Going past my friend Esther's parents' house.... John and Mable...are you in there???

Perhaps I'll just follow this sign instead..it's on the snowmobile trail.... a couple of turns and I could end up at one of my favorite spots, winter or summer...
Just follow this sign out Bailey Hill Rd...to PINE JUNCTION!! Half the fun is finding it!!
OK... I guess I'd better get to work....

Isn't this GREAT that they plowed MY side of the road?!?!? I Love these guys...
Will the snow never STOP???

Oh, here they come to do the other side. How nice... My brother drives one of these... He did get stuck on a hill this weekend. Sliding backwards down the hill in one of these things is NOT FUN.... of course, you don't know that until you've tried it. I'm just going to take his word for it!!

Here's someone else, off to work... See ya later!!
HAVE A HAPPY DAY!!!

Manna

For the boy who got the sled for Christmas, this is like manna from heaven!! He has had it out a couple of times, but it took some brakes when we were suffering the ice/sleet weather. and some imagination to go on just a couple of inches of snow. Now there is NO question about having enough. It is snowing steadily and supposed to continue for a week. Welcome to Western New York State in January!!Here is a pic of one of the local Bed & Breakfast places. Looks like a Rockwell setting... yes, we like it here in Findley Lake.

oh...is it still a random act of kindness if you tell?? This morning on my way to work I was coming up to the fairly new little house snuggled into a wooded area and there was a mini van stuck at the end of the driveway, with a lady and a shovel and at least one other lady. Across the road was a service van and a man looking at some wires, not paying any attention to the van. I drove past, then stopped and backed up and parked. I grabbed my mittens and jumped out... said hello, do you need an extra pusher?? Oh, that would be nice. One had just finished with the shovel and they were getting ready for another attempt at OUT. One in the van and two of us pushing and it was free... did I make a difference?? I don't know if I was strong enough to make a pushing difference, but I like to think that by stopping to help a stranger, I put a smile in both of our days. I don't write this to pat myself on the back, merely to point out that I think GOD is always watching, and I hope sometimes I make him smile, too.
