"~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence
of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other
people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or
crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it
either on your blog or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo
with the rest of us! ~"
Come along with Ginny at Small Things and friends to see what we're reading and yarning about!!
This is the kindle read that I finished this week. I had started it and then there were others on the wait list, so it got sucked back in to the Library well, and I got back on the list to finish it. The good news is if you have started a book and it gets sucked back into the Library, it remembers where you were when it comes back to you. I was a bit worried about that the first time, but technology is watching out for me.
Now, I'm working on A Solitary Blue and Ginger Pye at the same time... sort of. Decided that A Solitary Blue needed to be read first. It's the sequel to Dicey's Song and I read the book before it and really wanted to continue the rest about this family. Of course, I'm slow. And I like to read Christmas books after Thanksgiving, so I'm going to try to read fast... and I read The Bridge, and that was Christmasy, so I think I'm OK. And I can send Ginger Pye back and pick it up later. I'm not that far into it. It's the Newbery next in line, but that's okay...Lots of time... While reading these, I'm also continuing on The Story for my Sunday School class. We are doing a chapter a week, and really getting into it. We are working on Chapter 8 for next Sunday. There was a little hesitation about doing 31 chapters in our class. We are usually so pokey, but we are moving along and it's good. Our Bible Study girls rock, but we get so much into discussion, that we will not get through our HER: Proverbs 31 book. It is good and it will be good for them to work on through the summer, but I'd like to get it moving along a bit faster. Time to regroup how we are choosing discussion and moving and skipping more to do on their own through their home time. But they are a great group and we gain alot in our discussions. Lots of questions and lots of answers. It's what they need to grow...
I've kind of left the shawl behind a bit to work on this Bandana Cowl. I'm liking it and am happy with the look and I love the feel of alpaca slipping through my fingers...so I've got the wrap and turn part done, but deciding if I want to continue the decreases, or if I like it better a little looser and just go around and around...great project with a fire in the fireplace and the Hallmark channel playing...
What's up at your place??
Seem to have a glitch in the links...hope to have it worked out quick!!

Yes, technology is such a wonderful thing and I love having a Kindle in the house.
Your bandana looks great and I'm with you on the feel of alpaca slipping through fingers, it's great!
