Yarn Along in November....

"~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs.  I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~"
Come along with Ginny at Small Things and friends to see what we're reading and yarning about!!

This is my latest book... I finished it this morning on my ride into work.  With tears, of course, because it's Karen Kingsbury, after all.  I like to read her very much, but I don't always like to cry in public when I'm reading a book.  But this looked like what I needed to 'bridge' the gap in reading.  I have another Newbury floating around, Ginger Pye, so I'd better get on that one.  And I have the sequel to my last one, which was Dicey's Song and the next one is....have to go look...
It's A Solitary Blue... I have it...at home...and there must be a couple checked out on my Kindle.  I usually have at least one or two from the library on there. So many books, so little time.
For the yarny part of the post, I've been fiddling a bit with the wrap and turn of my bandana cowl.  I have an extra dog visiting this week and he is good and fun, but not really so good with the knitting and figuring.  He is little and he's fast and he likes to be on your lap, or under your blanket or up and down and around.  I also pulled out some of that Alpaca from my visit to Bella Luna Alpacas and cast on 11 stitches and started a Terribly Simple Shawl...  I'm telling you...AADD has come to possess my brain!!
Not really sure about the point of that bandana, but I'm giving it a whirl and we'll see how it ends up...And the shawl, I met this alpaca and I just wanted to hold onto that softness...so I am...wrapping it around me!

I painted my work bathroom today and now I'm doing peel and stick tiles.  They have a lot of stick on them.  Hope I can get it off my fingers!!
What about you?  Are you hunkered down with snow falling, like me???
