Just Twiddlin...Random Thots

I'm working on a little project this morning. It was one that got planted and started at Christmas time and now I was trying to kick it into gear. The plan was to attack it last night...but I was washing up the dishes and picking up the kitchen and the lights went out. We have an automatic generator, so it will come on in just a few minutes...and it did. The main parts of the house function, but not all of it. We could watch a movie in the family room, but the outlets for the lights did not work. We had heat and running water. The refrigerator/microwave side of the kitchen work, but not the stove/oven side. I was alright with that. Everything was cleaned up and I really was OK with the whole thing, except I had hoped to work on this project or knit and neither of those thing were possible to do by the light of Caddyshack and the fireplace. The candles were a little too scented and needed to be extinguished after a little bit. The electric was out about 2 hours. We were fine. But by then, I had gotten real warm and cozy and might have even fallen asleep. And they wanted to keep the lights off. So I knew I was toast and just went back to snore-land. Yep, I snore on the couch. You should know that about me...in case we are planning a slumber party. I try to hang out in the same rooms at Scrap and Sew as other snorers...because we talk the same language...right Renee and Elaine?? If that doesn't work, there is always the earplug method. I have been know to sleep very peacefully with race earplugs in to mask the rumble of others. Lynn even sends them along with Renee some weekends for her roommates!
Having a bit of trouble printing out some things, so I'd best pay more attention for now. And church is going to be calling my name soon, too. I did get a walk in this morning and the sun is shining.
