3 years ago, my friend Elaine and I walked the Breast Cancer 3 day. It was August, the hottest weekend that year. It was 3days x 20 miles. We had trained a lot, but we had blisters and sore toenails and sunburn and just plain exhaustion... but we walked the whole walk. We were NOT getting into the sweep van. Together we raise over $6000 for Susan Koman and our friends were so supportive.
This year, I'll walk the Relay for Life for Elaine. She is currently recovering from surgery and will soon start chemo to treat her breast cancer. Thank you for doing this. Last year I walked to honor my neighbor Jeff. Not sure if I'll walk this year; but if I do, it'll be in memory of him.
