Yep, I'm not waiting until the first day of winter to confess. I have failed miserably this fall on the Fall into Reading Challenge. Last time I kicked butt on this challenge. The spring seems too nuts to do something like this, so I just waited until the next fall one to join in, but today I am removing that list from my sidebar and taking the guilt from my shoulders. I have been having rather an AADD sort of fall/winter and have way too many projects all going at once and so I spend quite a bit of time figuring out where to start...along with the sluggish posting here, which if any one reads this blog, which is way different from the past. A new job, with no computer, so no lunchtime internet access has cut that quite a bit and just adjusting to the next phase of life. Enough on the excuses...sometimes things just don't happen, so today I'm taking off the list, I'm doing a post and trying to think about being a bit more steady again on this...oh, I've been reading, but just not writing...and I'm assessing the things that I told myself that I could do/make/craft before Christmas and being honest about what will get done without getting nuts about it. I decided to rip something out last night and redo it, but couldn't find the end.hey I guess I tucked that one into the stitches really well. Anyway, I had a heck of a time getting it undone so I could do it again. But now I'm ready and thinking...do I redo the purple, so start a new blue first??? But even before that I have 3 boxes- one for Colorado, one for Charlotte and one for Raleigh, that MUST go in the mail today and I have to get the stamps on the last batch of cards...those ones that had a letter/not tucked in. I am NOT saving any out for a special note this year and then finding them in a bag in July when I am getting ready for vacation...
So I'm off to complete a few tasks and knock some things off my list and just generally feel a little more in control of life.
Have a great day and maybe a few more decorations will even find their way onto tables and mantels today...I at least have to find the nativity... and there's my favorite sleigh pulled by a polar bear....MAILING...MUST DO THE MAILING!!

When the reading thing only adds to the pressure, that's the time to let that list go, for sure. Reading is supposed to be leisure and pleasure, not torture and censure, right?

I'm plugging through the to-do list too.. very slowly! And crossing a few things off that perhaps really don't need doing (like those pesky crafting ideas hanging around in my head!). I agree, let go of the things that are hanging over our heads & adding more stress. I'll take that advice if you will too ;) Happy mailing today!! -Tammy
It's amazing how fast Christmas is closing in, isn't it! I have only just posted the cards and the Christmas tree was only decorated yesterday...today a few decorations to go on the sideboard...we'll get there..you and I!!
there's always the next reading challenge! Take a deep breath, don't stress :)
