Oh, Monday, Monday .... I love you so...

My dog was SOOOO happy that we got our walk in this morning in warm, beautiful weather...before the downpours started. I had a few outdoor things on my list, but as it has been raining solid for hours, I'm thinking tomorrow might be OK. I have some outdoor stuff to do and then plant my pear tree for the winter...not the permanent home, just a rental for the winter!!
Been doing some stuff here to prepare for Turkey Day. People are coming, so there's a bit of tidying that needs doing. Along with the laundry that beckons me from the other side. I love to wear socks...I hate to match socks...and since we are a blended family, part of our mismatched socks are very likely to be at someone else's house. Does create a bit of a problem from time to time... like the fact that my pool table is completely covered in white socks that don't match...I mean TONS of socks...yep, so that's what I'm off to do now...sort, match, sort, match. I can get my kids to match from time to time, but I can't quite get them to do it MY WAY. Usually not TOO much of a control freak, but if you see them, match them, and roll the tops over, you can no longer see them. So MY method is to have a pile for each and roll and toss. But the boys roll and put them all in one basket, where you often have to unroll tops to get an idea whose foot it goes to. My friend Kathy gave me some SOCK CUFFS click things to match them together, but they only work when you use them, ...but I'm getting better!!
Got a 7th grade boys basketball game around 5. 8th plays first around 4 and 7th is just after that. Got some meat in the crockpot to eat when we get home. and I better get movin' now, because the longer I sit here, the more comfortable I get, and the harder it is to get up. I'll have to write later about my last week and stuff going on then...
I'm OFF!!!

I'm in tidying mode, too, because my company starts arriving today!

Good luck with it all, and have a GREAT Thanksgiving.

Hey... so I think a GREAT new stylin thing is to wear socks that DON'T match... you just might be the next hot fad...

Hope y'all have a blessed Thanksgiving...

I'll volunteer to have it here next year ;-)

Hope you have a lovely Turkey Day! I used to have 4 boys with big teenage feet at my house and seeing they 'borrowed' each other's socks anyway, I didn't even sort them, just had a basket where they went straight from the laundry (clean), unpaired. It worked, they paired them up themselves and wore the pair they wanted to!

Hi.
Was wondering if you could share your wheat bread recipe? Or maybe you have and I can't find it on the blog?
Thanks!

I finally get it about walking the dog...we are visiting in Spokane this week, and it is quite the ordeal to take my dog out in the snow. I am not used to cold weather...the dog, however, loves the snow. Having to defrost her feet was an interesting experience!

have a happy Thanksgiving!
