My new Best Friend

When we took Andrea to college, she found out the meeting she needed to attend was at least an hour earlier than she had originally thought. So Dan & I took her list to Walmart and killed some time until she was done. Dan saw this clock and decided he needed it. I told him he had to wait...it was Andrea's shopping day, but I did let him get the light beside it. We were just getting the Longhorn painting done and knew that a black reading light was a great addition to his room.

We went shopping again right before school started. I put this in Dan's cart. He said "I thought you said I didn't need it." I said, "You do now." They have set this clock everyday for school and of the 5 days, they have always been up before I got in their room. MY.GOOD.GRIEF!! Why didn't I get these boys an alarm clock YEARS AGO!! No more grouching around.... In my defense, Alex had an alarm, and he said he didn't hear it, and Dan uses the alarm on his phone if he wants to get up early for fun, but it doesn't do the trick on school mornings. Clock radios get unplugged and moved around too much and then the alarms go off at weird times of the day and night. He wanted this clock and he uses it and we are all happier. And it looks pretty cool, too!

Got a haircut and a new project...I'll tell you about it later...

Love the new "old" clock. Is it very loud?

A new haircut? I always feel better when I've had my hair done. I'm sure you will feel great too. Cheers~

I am thinking about getting one like that too... I hate our clock radio... the radio sporadically comes on like its possessed. Good investment I would say. ;)

That looks like it would jarr you right out of any good dream... especially if you put it across the room so you have to GET up to SHUT it up... hmmmmm, might need to investigate

you're such a brilliant mom...

Conny-
It is loud enough for them, but I haven't heard it too much. Usually they have shut it off by the time my goes off about 5 minutes later. My hair is pretty short and I have natural curl. I always think I want to grow it out longer like it was before children, but it gets pretty wild and I don't have enough patience and I snip or wack and start over!
Leigh-
Someone's radio was ALWAYS going off in the night and then we could never figure out which of the 20 buttons on the top would really shut the darn thing off. I think the Salvation Army ended up with that one...not worth the night time craziness.
