It's BIBLE SCHOOL week!!

Our church has for years, used GROUP for our bible school material. This is the theme this year. We start on Sunday night and there was a question, but we either had 76 or 80 kids. The second night, which was tonight, we had 90 kids. And once they start jumping around and singing, the temperature rises!! I have done the opening part for many years, complete with crazy costumes....hey, if you ever need a Scooby Doo suit, just give me a call...My partner in crime is my very own Dan this year. I have been the goofy one in the past, but he wanted to do it this year, so I am the straight man. I'm struggling just a bit with that part. I decided in high school that I much more fit the part of the comedy role, the off-key singer, the silly one, and I've tried to keep that my calling. After all, I'd love to sing well enough for people to call me for special music, but I need to work up some comedy songs for church before that happens!! Matter of fact, I've done special music before and they haven't asked me to do it for years, which just goes to show me that the serious singing role is NOT my forte!! So I try to stick to the joker roll, entertain the kids, sing loud and use crazy motions whenever possible and make the world smile if I can...
There's just not enough smiling going on. Did something make YOU smile today??? I hope so.

Tomorrow is my BS day...you know, Bible Study. We're shucking it around a bit this summer depending on everyone's schedule. That's part of the reason that there are only 4 of us, only 4 people to agree on an agreeable time. I'd like to do a study in the fall after school starts, but we'll see... it gets pretty busy then and I'd LOVE to do a Beth Moore, but that's pretty intensive. We'll figure something out. If we can get it to be a habit, we'll all be better for it!! See you tomorrow...I think it must be close to my bed time... I got a temporary crown today and I think some Tylenol and a pillow are just around the corner...
