PHEW!!

I had to go to work today just to rest up from yesterday! We did the BIG SHOP. It has been our tradition to take a day in December and just shop, the hub and I. Start early, stay late. So we were out of the house by 8:30am and even with a lunch stop, managed to be home by 5 or so. See, last week's band & chorus concert was cancelled because of weather and they re-scheduled it for this Wednesday without checking with those parents who had shopping plans. :o)
But we really got a lot done. There are some crafty things that still need done here, but I got a little more of that stuff to do. I could have all the 'required' gifting taken care of in October, but I'd still keep on sewing, crafting, finding... I don't think I'm an overboard spender; I can't be. I just like to give and I hope they like what I'm giving this year. I'd show you, but on the off chance that someone reads this that shouldn't see them, I guess I'd better not. But when we got home, we had a little time to spare before the boy and the trombone needed to be at school, so I could stash and stuff. PLEASE don't open Fibber McGee's closet. It's WAY TOO DANGEROUS!
Then the agreement was that even though they were combining the Elementary concert with the highschool, I'd like to come home after he was done playing, so we ducked out. Came home to the other family members sitting around the table visiting. I had some 'things' spread over my whole work table that I needed help with what was whose- Andrea helped me tag them...and I sort of wanted to get going on my crafty stuff again, so I wrapped my first packages of the season to clean the table off enough to layout and cut what I wanted. Then I cut out 3 pieces and realized that none of the fabric I'd cut so far on this project had direction, and I'd just cut 2 of the pieces with upside down words...ARGH!@! OK, I guess I'll just go watch Criminal Minds and not mess up anymore pieces tonight. Good choice. Of course, you know I don't know what happened at the end of CSI because I had fallen asleep under a blanket on the couch....zzzzzzzz.
The next 2 nights we're off to PineValley games. Not much crafty time for them...

Good for you, getting a full day in. And what fun to do it with your hubby.

To answer your question on my blog...
I figured that I could get 12 bars from the entire package. It only needs to set for 40 minutes. You shouldn't have any problem with using a loaf pan but I would line the pan with foil so you can remove it easily. It's really easy to cut. Yes, I got the mold from Michaels. For the scent, I would go with an essential oil instead of the soap fragence. There really isn't any difference.

Karen, I love your rambling posts, it makes me feel like I am sitting down talking to you. I have one more huge thing to get done for school before Tuesday - Yikes - then I PROMISE you will hear from me. Love you
